Ignite the Passion

Passion Conference was great and fun, despite the uhm...condition of the girls' toilet. [lets not go there] i wasnt excited about this conference actually. like what david said. i was reluctant when packing for the camp. its as if i'm forced to go but i went anyway since i already paid for it. the feeling got even worse when we arrived the place. couldnt believe we're staying there for 2 nights! but i tried to adapt to the place as much as possible, reminding myself Pitas mission trip was worse than this. then i managed to bath in the river [my first time!] and it was fun! [cos got little fishes swimming around. well, actually i saw one only.] the first night was almost unbearable for me cos i couldnt sleep well. [hard wooden floor + my tulang belakang = they don't...wait...they CANNOT go together! only christine knows how i feel]

worship time + the sharings of leaders and Ps Kenneth were very much encouraging. during the worship time on the first night, i received something from God. as i lift my hands i felt His hands holding mine and with His finger, He wrote something on the palm of my hand. a number 7. i remembered the number 7 means perfection. Perfection of holiness. Perfection of forgiveness. of His promise. Of His covenant. Then a verse came across my mind, 'Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.'[Leviticus 19:2] i felt God saying to me "be holy, just as I am holy"...such simple words yet so hard to understand what it means to be holy. i was like, i cant be perfect like You, God. and then it hit me. who says one cannot strive for perfection of God?

today's msg from Ps Kenneth...i would say, was the most powerful one. period. about what? the greatest power of God is not punishing us or send us to hell. His greatest power is LOVE. and how He forgives. how He is more concerned about what we NEED instead of what we DESERVE. that is why the greatest revolutionary is Jesus Christ. He made a stand for God. He moved in the opposite spirit and against the flow of the world. He sacrificed. He changed the world. He IS love.
